Ode to Myself
Why is it that I always have to see you?
I’m so amazed about everything you do.
I love your smile, your eyes, you nose, and ears,
And feel completely relaxed when you are near.
I’m glad that I get to see everything you see,
But I’m even gladder that you happen to be me.

Ode to Six Flags
People come from all around to visit you,
But your greatness they don’t understand nor have a clue.
They ride your rides and eat your food,
Only to leave trash and puke and in the lines. They’re rude.
Why do they come to such a terrific place,
Just to trash it and leave it in disgrace?

Ode to Basketball
It takes skill to throw the ball through the air.
The players need to have precision and care;
So the ball could glide gently and gracefully in the net.
Then all the gamblers could make their winning bet.
How could such a game amaze us all?
I just know that a lot of people love the game basketball.

Ode to a Monkey
You look so relaxed even when you’re moving
And you’re nice enough to help with the grooming.
You swing from tree to tree without a care.
People come from all around just to stare.
How come you are so cute, fuzzy, and take little room,
And you’re lucky enough not to look like the red-butt baboon?

Ode to Rialto
What’s there to say about such a place?
You have a unique smell, feel, and taste.
The trains run though you night and day.
There’s not much more that I could say.
There’s nothing much to do
Yet there is still no way I’ll move from you.
